These Terms apply when you use our website and when you book services from
VB Electric LTD.
A) Definitions
- “We/us/our” = VB Electric LTD
- “You/your” = the customer (consumer or business)
- “Works” = electrical work, testing, inspection, fault-finding, installation, repairs, certification.
B) Quotes & pricing
- Quotes are based on the information you provide and what is visible/accessible at the time. If site conditions differ, we may revise the quote.
- Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 14 days.
- Where we give an estimate, the final price may change if the scope changes or issues are discovered.
C) Booking, deposits, and payment
- To secure a booking, we may require a deposit (typically 50%). This covers scheduling time and (where relevant) ordering materials.
- The remaining balance is due on completion of the Works, before we release certificates and final documentation (where applicable).
- If you delay payment, we may pause further work, withhold certificates, and/or charge reasonable admin time for chasing payment.
Business customers: statutory late payment rules may apply.
D) Changes to scope (variations)If you ask for changes (extra sockets, different fittings, additional circuits, etc.) we will confirm the change and any price/time impact. Variations are chargeable.
E) Access, parking, and working conditions
You agree to provide:
- safe access to the property and work area,
- reasonable working conditions (power/water where needed),
- parking permits or paid parking costs (if applicable), unless agreed otherwise,
- clear information about hazards (asbestos, unsafe structures, etc.).
If access is not available at the agreed time, we may charge a reasonable call-out/abortive visit fee.
F) Materials & ownership
All materials supplied remain our property until paid for in full
G) Safety, compliance, and certification
- We work to relevant UK standards and good practice for electrical work.
- Testing and certification depend on the condition of the existing installation. If defects are found, remedial work may be required before a satisfactory result can be achieved.
- Where certification is required, we will provide it once the Works are complete and all sums due are paid.
H) Workmanship warranty
We provide a
12-month workmanship guarantee (unless otherwise stated). This does not cover:
- manufacturer defects (covered by manufacturer warranty),
- customer-supplied materials/fittings,
- damage caused by misuse, third-party alteration, water ingress, pests, building movement, or external factors outside our control.
I) Cancellations & cooling-off
Consumer cancellation rights may apply for bookings made at a distance (phone/online) or off-premises. See our
Cancellation Policy below.
- J) Liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
- We are not liable for:
- pre-existing faults in your installation,
- losses caused by you delaying necessary remedial work,
- indirect or consequential losses (where permitted by law).
- Our maximum liability (where legally permitted) is limited to the value of the Works paid for the relevant job.
K) Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact us first at
info@vb-electric.co.uk with your job address, date, and a clear description (photos help). We aim to respond within
5 working days.
- L) Website use
- Website content is for general information and may change.
- You must not misuse the website (attempt hacking, scraping, malicious traffic).
- Any logos, images, and written content are our intellectual property unless stated otherwise.
M) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of
England and Wales (unless your registered location requires otherwise), and courts there will have jurisdiction.
