Cancelation Policy
Effective date: 29/01/2026
This policy applies to
consumers (not businesses) where the booking is a “distance contract” (phone/online) or “off-premises” (agreed at your home). The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may give a
14-day cancellation period in many cases.
1) Your right to cancel (where it applies)You can cancel within
14 days from the day the contract is entered into.
2) Starting work during the cancellation period (urgent/emergency jobs)If you ask us to start work within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that:
- if you later cancel after work has started, you may have to pay reasonable costs for the work completed and any materials already supplied/ordered.
3) When cancellation rights don’t apply / may be limited
Cancellation rights can be limited in certain situations (for example, where services are fully completed within the cancellation period at your request).
4) How to cancel
Email
info@vb-electric.co.uk with:
- your name,
- address,
- booking date,
- and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
5) Refunds
Where a refund is due, we process it as soon as reasonably possible and within the legally required timeframe where applicable.
